The dark and violent story of The Dead Next Door begins in mid-April of 2005 when the three band members were rushed to a hospital on the outskirts of Gothenburg , Sweden after suffering through different ordeals. The moon was full on this particular evening and their condition was critical. As a matter of fact, two of the members were actually pronounced clinically dead at one point but somehow managed to return to life. The doctors were dumbfounded and are to this day still unsure how this was possible.

However, it was there, on the empty parking lot in front of the run-down and sinister-looking hospital, that the three boys discovered that they had one thing in common: The only thing that they loved more than all things horror were… punkrock! They made a pact there and then to devote their lives to the genre they loved more than anything: Horrorpunk!

Within just a matter of minutes and after a pack of cigarettes or two, they had come up with a formula of how to combine their love of horror movies (old ones as well as new), punksongs with soaring “wooh-wooh-oh”-chorus´ and 50´s-doowop. That same evening, the first chord was struck and a new chapter had just begun in their lives. 2006 would be the year of the dead. Hell waits around the corner and you are welcome to join the unholy three of The Dead Next Door right here at their official gravesite…
